I don't really like the long travel Kona bikes because they're about 2-3 lbs heavier than a similar bike from any other company. The Cowan DS was the only full suspension frame that they made that I enjoy. I would recommend a Specialized Enduro (not the newer SL version) or a Santa Cruz Nomad if you want to invest in a real nice ride.
